On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Golf Committee, Idle Hour Country Club is pleased to welcome you to the 66th Annual Peach Blossom Invitational Golf Tournament.
As you are probably aware, the Peach Blossom is the premier Four Ball tournament in Middle Georgia and arguably the entire state. This storied event has produced many great winners including outstanding amateurs such as Arnold Blum, Bill Ploeger, Buddy Alexander, and Danny Yates. Other amateur champions who went on to professional careers include Bunky Henry, Andy Bean, Larry Mize, Peter Persons, and Allen Doyle.
Idle Hour Country Club has hosted the Peach Blossom since 1947. Our club was founded in 1912, and the golf course was originally designed by A. W. Tillinghast and was improved in 2007 by Mike Riley. Well known for the immaculately maintained bent grass greens and gently rolling fairways, the course proves to be a great test year after year. The rich history of Idle Hour includes hosting the Georgia State Amateur a record tying seven times.
We know that you will enjoy the challenge of the course along with the attention to detail our entire staff, led by Director of Golf Ray Cutright, will provide for you during the tournament. We look forward to your participation.
